Vintage (1950s/60s?) Ekco ‘snuffer’ Hotplate – for keeping food warm at the table.
Good, used condition – some small/light marks consistent with use/storage.
In original box and with some paperwork.
Simple to use
Easy to clean
No smell or dirt
Negligible ‘running costs’
6 hours heat from the ‘Tea-lights’
The hotplate consists of an ivory plastic base with two holders for the tea-lights inside, and a gleaming, rust-proof chromium cover.
The ‘snuffer’ is an easily operated device for turning off the heat without any bother – one twist of the knob (one located at either end) and the metal plate snuffs out the heat.
The instructions recommend that ‘calorettes’ are used (not ordinary tea lights) for best results (nb the glass calorette holders are missing).
From a pet and smoke-free home.
