Large antique pine chest of 5 drawers (3+2), very good condition, made to measure for our bedroom in mid 1980s, on Wiltshire/Devon border, by a local craftsman.
Bought together with antique pine pair of bedside cabinets (3 drawers each), listed separately.
Solid pine with farmhouse, Costwold style, decorative edging to base, drawers and top.
Solid pine to drawers and back of chest (no picture of back as I could not move the chest on my own).
Fully assembled, cannot be dismantled like Ikea furniture, although drawers can be pulled out completely.
Very well looked after.
Very slight surface wear on edges, hardly noticeable.
Solid brass handles oxidised for vintage look which can be polished to a bright gold if preferred, one nut and bolt cover missing on inside of one drawer.
Not lacquered, waxed solid pine wood throughout, dovetail joints at front of drawers (see picture), second drawer from bottom needs a couple of stoppers ( small thin pieces of pine nailed at front on separating bar, template from other stoppers will give right spacing).
Natural knots to pine as seen in pictures,
No resin patches, no holes, no stains, no major scratches, only hairline marks around handles commensurate with age and normal use and a couple of marks on upright edge, right side as facing the chest (showing in pictures).
Measurements (edge to edge) : Height : 94cms
Width/length (right to left) : 91cms
Depth/width (back to front) : 48cms
Collection only, happy to have it collected by courier or by buyer, I will not be able to help with carrying/moving of furniture, currently on first floor of my house, so more than one person needed for collection.
