1878, plate 218, One Penny (1d.) Red stamp lettered DF (Stanley Gibbons code SG43).
From the set of stamps printed between 1858-79 (plate numbers 71-225), this 14 perforation, die II, large crown watermarked, type G1, rose-red, line-engraved example was printed using plate 218 which was registered on 14/08/1878 and put to press on 30/11/1878.
This stamp is a used, fine example cancelled / obliterated by a black, 2-numbered (Provincial Town), 1844-type, England and Wales postmark and is made available exclusive of the cost of postage and packaging which will be as follows:
Packaging (small Jiffy bag): £0.14; and
Postage - Royal Mail 'UK Standard' 1st class service for Large Letter up to and including 100g: £1.95 or
Postage - Royal Mail 'UK Standard' 2nd class service for Large Letter up to and including 100g: £1.55.
