Funny Cide was a New York bred, extremely handsome, chestnut TB gelding, foaled in 2000 out of Belle's Good Cide by Distorted Humor. Trained by Barclay Tagg, owned by Sackatoga Stable. He won over $3M in prize money, winning the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes (2003).

He's the first New York bred horse to win the Kentucky Derby, and the first gelding to win it since Clyde Van Dusen in 1929. He was retired in 2007 after 38 starts, 11 wins, 6x 2nd, 8x 3rd. Highest earnings of any New York bred horse at $3,529,412.
