This is a lovely rug, one of several that I will be listing.
Dating from about 1940-1969 this Persian Hamadan rug has a floral pattern and lovely colouring in indigo and navy blues, reds, rose and a small amount of taupe.
There is a fringe at both ends.
Hamedan rugs were hand-woven in the western region of Persia.
They are famous for their durability and colour and the wool has a feint sheen.
The pile is good with little signs of wear and it is in good clean condition.
Please note this photo was taken on a very bright day and the rug is not nearly as pinky/mauve as the photo would suggest.
See also my separate listing for tribal kilim cushions.
Collection only please.
