I was very close to buying a different dress but when I put on the rare gold/Ivory version of Bardot gown by Jenny Packham, I knew it was the dress for me. The dress sparkles like a glass of champagne! Bardot just screams glamour and elegance with soft flowing fabrics, deep V back and incredible 1920’s vintage beading details. Effortless and beautiful Bardot is definitely the perfect gown.
The Jenny Packham Bardot dress has hand stitched detailed beading head to toe, without being too glitzy and is very flattering. It is also very light and feels comfortable (so perfect if you're like me and want to be able to move and dance easily), it moves beautifully, which you can't quite capture in the photos.
The shoulders have been gathered, for a unique look but this can be undone by a seamstress. The top is quite stretchy will fit any size of bra, up to D size. The hips are a bit narrower than I would like, but I was ensured by a seamstress, that it's the slip underneath that has been made narrower than the sparkly top layer and that it can be let out. The dress was worn once for a wedding in 2015 and professionally dry cleaned by an experienced wedding dress cleaning company, Upstage Theatrical Dry Cleaners/Emily May who packaged in a high quality storage box. Comes with a bag of spare beads in case any is missing.
Dress was shortened (total height of 5'7", including heels).
