Have fun with The Very Hungry Caterpillar at your own Giant Wiggle walk!
The Giant Wiggle is back to inspire nurseries, play groups and parents with young children to enjoy the UK’s number one read storybook, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Over the last two years over 80,000 children have taken part in various activities stemming from The Very Hungry Caterpillar, from creative storytelling, arts and crafts, and healthy eating to taking part in a giant caterpillar conga line, raising over £149,000 for Action for Children.
Groups are encouraged to hold their very own Giant Wiggle walk, with as many enthusiastic children as possible, at locations across the nation, between 21st-27th March 2016.
Opportunity for children to flourish
Action for Children wants to bring the joy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar into even more nurseries and playgroups this year.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for the children to unleash their imaginations as the event involves creativity, movement and togetherness, all things we know children love!
All you need to do is sign up to host your very own Giant Wiggle and encourage the children to get messy, be active, have fun and raise money at the same time!
Providing vulnerable children with love and support to reach their potential
Action for Children carries out vital work in order to make growing up safer. 1 in 10 children are victims of neglect in the UK, and events like The Giant Wiggle raise much needed funds to help create better futures for those born into deprivation.
The charity works across the country to reach 300,000 children, young people and families each year, getting to the heart of communities to provide early years child development, learning and childcare services.
