Our two self catering flats offer comfortable rooms with high ceilings and large windows. The nursery slopes, ski schools, supermarkets, restaurants and bars are all close to our house surrounded by a nice garden by making this an ideal choice for families with children and grandmother whishing to be quiet. During the months of June and July children are free to pick up strawberries, mum to cook beans growing under the windows of your functional flats, daddy to eat kiwi of our production and grandmother will pick up flowers to fit up a table full of biological products! When you will be wandering on the meadows your children will discover cows and ships in their living shape quite different from the piece under chellophane they have seen when shopping in the supermarket! The central situation of your house gives you the opportunity to reach quickly and free the skilifts during the winter skiing holiday rental and the swimming pool, tennis courts during the summer holiday rental.

The lounge has both a comfortable dining area and a fitted kitchen area. Its entrance door lead to the covered terrace with a charming sloping roof under which is furnished a table and chairs to enjoy great mountains and forests views. This bright, two-bedroomed apartment, located on the first floor of the house is surrounded by magnificent scenary and has a very large grassed area in the private garden.
In the house the central heating supplies the radiators in the two apartments. Each radiator has a thermostatic valve to control the temperature. The electrical current is earthed in every apartment to warrant the security of our customers. We have got the conformity attestation from the CONSUEL ( French national committee for the security in electrical use). At only 200 m. near the house there are swimming pool for adults and a separate one with tobogan for children. For the children it is possibble to ride a pony and have a lot of fun by the circus settling by us during the summer. Considering that our is a low allergen environment with tackling fresh air we welcome long term renters to whom we reserve special tarifs. Smoking is not allowed except on terrace and balcony. We can rent you some books from our private library including novels, histories of literature in French, Italian, English, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, scientific, human and social sciences issues.

Les Carroz is a wonderful place for walkers and mountain bikers as it has hundreds of Kilometers of marked paths in the valleys and foothills giving endless opportunities for exploring the high montains. The sport complex with tennis courts and archery, three swiming pools and other facilities are situated 200 m. far from the flat. In addition Lake of Annecy and Lake Leman offer every sort of water based activity in one of Europe most beautiful settings. Yvoire, situated on the shores of Lake Leman is classed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. It has retained its medieval character and parts of its 14th century fortifications. In the summer, day trips to Italy through the Mont Blanc tunnel are also appreciated. Every February a magnificent hot air ballon festival is held in Les Carroz. You may watch the flambee descente by nightime skiers with flames. There is also the mountainbiking, road cycling contest in Les Carroz, and the Tour de France in July.

Les Carroz is an ideal winter venue for families. In a 15 minutes drive you may reach the Pierre Carré golf area. Children under the age of 12 can attend a local activity school in the village, leaving parents free to enjoy the skiing. There are two nursery slopes and two ski schools providing lessons for all ages and all range of abilities.

In July there is also the VTT mountainbiking race, road cycling and the Tour de France. Eating out At only a couple of hours from the UK there is a good range of restaurants in Les Carroz offering fine French cuisine, traditional savoyard cooking, like la raclette, cheesy fondues, very good pizza. Night life As Les Carroz is a family friendly resort, nightlife is low key and centers around a number of atmospheric bars, a dance club and a two screen cinemas which shows English language films as well as French ones.

EVENTS

Every February a magnificent hot air ballon festival is held in Les Carroz. You may watch the flambee descente ( nighttime skiers with flames ). Free mulled wine is offered in the village square not only when Santa Claus comes to offer chocolates to the children! At only 40 Km. far from Les Carroz sitting at the base of Mont Blanc, you will admire its summit at 4810 m. above the sea level. There are gondolas, telecabines, tramways and trains to take you up as you dare, the highest beeing the Aiguille du Midi, a pinnacle at approximately 4000 m. Visiting the stunning 'Mer de glace', France's largest glacier, to reach on the original 1908 Montenvers train from Chamonix, then by cable car. Do not forget the ice grotto, the permanent exhibition of wildlife, and the cristal gallery hollowed out of the rock face. In the summer,especially, day trips to Italy through the Mont Blanc tunnel are also appreciated as well as to Martigny in Switzerland.

SKIING INFORMATIONS

Les Carroz, a traditional french alpine village,has an excellent snow record due to its close proximity to Mont Blanc. Les Carroz is one of the five linked resorts which make up the huge Grand Massif ski area. The other linked resorts include Samoens, Morillon,Sixt and Flaine. The Alps are snow covered from December to April and basking in sunshine from June to September. Consider that the climate in the mountains is quite variable day to day but generally it is dry and healthy. Les Carroz can offer an abundance of excellent skiing for all abiliities and all ages as well as a wide range of other winter activities including dog sledding, ice-skating, climbing, snow boarding. There is a lot of high quality skiing with 265 Km of pists on offer. There are ski runs to suit every ability and taste. We can help you hire any equipment you need or book ski lessons.
