Description
This is a high pitched noise which only people up to the age of around 20 can hear, meaning that it is a great way of using as aringtone for pupils in lessons, so that the teacher can't hear when a pupil's mobile phone rings. As people get old, they lose the ability to hear high frequencies, this is a condition called Presbycusis.
Another use of this high pitched noise is to disperse loitering teenagers in front of your establishment by blasting them with this high pitched sound and they will go away, meanwhile all your adults customers cannot hear the sound and are not bothered by it.
It is also used as a secret ringtone by kids so that their parents and teachers can't hear their mobile phones ring! Clever..
