London N9 7LU to Central Edinburgh
Average sized 2 bed terrace house in London N9 7LU (Edmonton / Enfield borders - LB Enfield) RTB. GCH / DG / front garden with potential to be converted into a drive and reduced rates for dropped kerb / 78-80 foot back garden with fixed concrete shed and potential to install a back fence with gate leading onto a quite pathway. Attic. Kitchen and bathroom to be refitted under Decent Homes by 2010 / understair storage. Main bedroom has a 2 fitted wardrobes.
The house does need decorating and which has been started - hence very little carpet and some skirting missing. Wooden floorboards throughout with the potential to be cleaned, sanded and varnished.
The street is friendly and quiet with exceptionally nice neighbours! (I will be sorry to leave such a nice neighbourhood!) Most have bought and/or extended their properties and there is very little movement because people like living on the street!
There is a reputable primary school and park within 2 minutes of the house.
The area has good amenities - 2 overgrounds within walking distance: Ponders End and Southbury and Edmonton Green an 8 minute bus ride away with links to central London taking 18-30 minutes depending on the route. All overground trains go through Hackeny which will be opening 4 new tube stations (East London line) this year (in view of the 2012 Olympics) so this will add to commuting options.
Bus routes: 491, 279, 349, 192 and 191. The 279 and 349 will take you to Seven Sisters tube (Victoria line).
The house is minutes from Middlesex and 4 miles from Hertfordshire allowing you to access the countryside easily. LB Enfield is considered one of the most green in London, 1/3 being parkland, woods, etc!
There are retails parks within walking distance including Morrisons, Sainsburys, Argos, PC World, B & Q, resturants and a Cimema Complex, etc., a Tesco's 10 minutes walk away and Enfield Town 10 minutes by car including a shopping mall, bars, resturants and nigh life! There is also an Ikea and other big stores a 15 minute bus ride / drive from the house.
Due to work commitments and wanting to be near my family I would like to move back to central Edinburgh. I am looking for a 1 or 2 bed house/flat/tenament and am happy to downsize to a 1 bed in the right area! I know Edinburgh well and am here a lot so can view properties easily. I do not need the RTB, garden or parking but would like D/G and GCH or to know this will be done under Decent Homes.
I have two people (so far) in London keen to take my place - both have 1 bed in flats in N7 LB Islington - Holloway and Tufnell Park. Both properties are maintained to a high standard and have excellent amenities close to tube stations with links to central and outer London. So, if you interested in any of these places and have a place in central Edinburgh that'll suit my needs...please get in touch...
I have several others waiting to view my house in London and possibly Birmingham so hope to be updating with potential mutli-exchanges regularly.
Serious movers only please!
Good luck with your search! :-)
