Suffolk Bullbreeds have bred an outstanding litter of Bulldogge pups, sired by our stud dog Mutley. Mutley is a one off, his dad was a multi titled international show winner and cost the owner £8500. The people that bred Mutley produced him after embarking on a breeding program designed to reconstruct and improve the bulldog as we now know it. The breeder made this decision after successfully showing and breeding British Bulldogs for 17 years. He still owns Mutley's father, mother, brother, sister and other relatives.
We have decided to pursue our own breeding program to continue to produce stunning, athletic, HEALTHY Bulldogges.
We have selected only the best quality, short, stocky muscular Staffordshire Bull Terriers, from the best lines, (Crashkon etc.). Pups from these Mutley/Staff breedings produce short legged stocky well muscled pups with heavy bone and large heads. These dogs will reach the same dimensions of the British Bulldog, (16" tall at 65lbs) However, these dogs will be free from the health problems that plague the British Bulldog. Temperament has been a major consideration in our breedings. Mutley has the temperament of a British Bulldog and passes this on to his pups. We temperament test all dogs prior to breeding and use the Volhard and paws tests to assess pups before they go to their new homes.
There are other people doing similar breedings, producing pups that range in price from £400-£1200. Unfortunately many of these pups are only produced due to the breeders British Bulldog bitch having bad hip scores/or not being of show quality and therefore being refused by reputable Bulldog stud owners. As they have spent £1800-£2500 on their bitch in the hope of selling equally priced pups they then either sell the bitch without informing the new owner of any health problems or use it for cross=breeding in the hope that the hip problems will be 'bred out' by widening the gene pool... Sadly as many people find out to their cost, unhealthy dogs produced unhealthy pups. If one parent has bad hips at least half if not all the litter could also be displastic. Basically you can't make gold out of s*** but there will always be someone stupid enough to try.
We welcome all inquiries about our dogs or pups. All of our pups leave us under terms and conditions of a purchase agreement. we have 2 male pups left aged 7 weeks.
What makes us different from other breeders?
Suffolk Bullbreeds are non=profit making hobbyist breeders. All money from litters/studs goes back into supporting our dogs. This is not an empty claim. We keep comprehensive records and will not be offended if you ask to see them!
We thoroughly research the health history and lineage of all our dogs prior to getting them. If we are not 100% happy that the pup or dog meets our standards then we will look elsewhere. We now breed almost exclusively from our own dogs, or those that are owned by or placed with friends or family.
Our pups leave us under terms and conditions of a purchase agreement in which we offer to take back any dog sold by us if it can no longer be looked after properly. We also have to be consulted prior to bitches being bred and approve the stud dog being used. We see this as a basic requirement of any responsible breeder.
Our dogs are fed on a natural diet. We use the B.A.R.F (Bones And Raw Foods) diet.
We provide on going advice and support for the lifetime of your dog.
