Meet Apollo! A 13 year old, 15.2hh Shire x Cob gelding. He is a brown dun with the traditional dorsal stripe, zebra markings on legs, and shadowing on the ears. He has perfect manners in the stable, and is good with the dentist, farrier, and vet. A very quiet hack and used to heavy traffic conditions. Has been ridden out alone and in company and has tackled woods, busy roads, and motorway bridges smoothly. Ridden at the moment by lightweight girl, but is also an ideal weight carrier. For the last couple of years he has been on ?holiday? due to a combination of the owner being at university and a back injury (not caused by horse!). Because of this he will need bringing on. Has done a lot of ridden schooling work in the past, and is going well on the lunge. Is currently being trained in his paces, and is making good progress. Apollo has also shown some potential for jumping whilst being free-schooled.

Would like a home where he could continue his schooling.

Ideally looking for someone with a keen interest in or who is open to natural horsemanship and Monty Robert?s techniques.

Needs a strong confident handler when leading. Can be VERY strong at times. For this reason we are looking for an ADULT handler only please.

An ideal horse for anyone who wants a friend for hacking and hugs. Experienced adult rider and handler wanted only please.

Considering full loan. Preferably to move to a yard in the Kent area. Hopefully Medway, close to home. HE CAN NOT BE MOVED OUT OF KENT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! SORRY!!! Owner must be able to regularly visit, and keep in touch.
