For Sale

limited edition all white mk1 golf gti cabriolet

Hi all, i'm selling my mk1 golf gti cabriolet, which as you can see from the picture is in near perfect condition, both inside and out, with only the usual drivers bolster being ripped, on the all white half leather half cloth interior. its a 1989 all white big bumper karmann VW Golf GTI cabriolet which i've owed now for just over 2 years and has been my pride and joy ever since i bought it. Its the 1.8 8v gti engine which has not long been retuned to get as close to the original 135 bhp that it had when it left the factory. It has been modified slightly but nothing that spoils the original good looks of the car, it is currently sat on a set of 16 inch silver 8 double spoked alloy wheels, with lower profile tyres, it has been lowered 35 - 40 mm all round on koni adjustable shocks with eibach springs and stiffened with an omp front upper strut brace which have now improved the handling. i have changed the steering wheel for a momo course steering wheel which is smaller making it easier to steer.

Since buying the car i've carried out as much of the servicing as is possible for me as i work in the motor trade and the engine is quiet a basic engine to work on. the filler neck has been replaced as it rusted out on me (Common problem with the original filler neck on mk1 golf) about a year ago, and at the same time i had the tank cleaned out, fuel pump replaced, metering unit replaced for a reconditioned one, injecters remachined and all fuel pipes high presure air blown through to make sure that any debris got through and last but not least the fuel filter has also been replaced. the front brake pads have just been replaced and the rears were replaced about a year and half a go, have also just put two new front tyres on.

the car currently is mot'd till nov and can see no problem why it would'nt go through with no problems as the only two adviseries were the front tyres and front brake pads which as i said earlier have now been replaced. there is no tax on the car at present but am quiet happy to nagotiate some moneys off for this,

Thanks for looking

Matt
