MERCEDES 500SEL - LIMO - AUTO. Burnt Silver 5 Litre V8 1985. Reliable. I recently returned from France having driven over thirteen hundred miles in comfort. The photo is outside Chateau Rochechouart. TAX 'til end JANUARY Owned since October '05. MOT'd to November '08. 4th owner. LOW MILEAGE 119k. First owner a London Doctor for most of its life. I get Insurance for Classic car 3000 miles for about £140.
I have added a TOW BAR and REVERSING SENSORS which come in useful.
There are White Dials behind the Wood / Leather steering Wheel. 3 expensive Michelin tyres, forth replaced with a Yokohama. Got another good Yokohama which can be used as a spare or match. The existing spare is also OK.
Black Faux leather MB Tex seats firmed up and not wallowy. No hole in the drivers bolster. Carpets all Black and in good condition.
Zebrato and Burr Walnut wood trim.
Years of mileage left in the engine. It burns no oil and uses no water, and there are no unhealthy sounds from the Cam chains. A joy to drive with the smooth auto gearbox.
Some spares including original steering wheel and matching roof rack. Sunshine roof works as do all windows. The Car is alarmed by Meta and has remote Central Locking. A JVC KDG801 removable swivel head unit with single CD is in situ with a remote control . Can connect a Disc Changer.
There is a bit of rust on the wings above the chromes as you would expect with a twenty three year old car but underside solid.
