Custom Luthier-built Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar
I know nothing about this guitar except that it is beautifully made. I'm guessing it's over 25 years old.
The top is book-matched spruce and the back is four-piece book-matched mahogany. The sides are also mahogany and headstock is Gibson-style and once bore the legend "Marquis" (do a search on Google!!, but it's the wrong shape for a Martin!)
The fingerboard is bound and the mother-of-pearl fret markers are Arabesque-shaped inlays.
The guitar has an in-built pickup with separate volume and tone control. The condition overall is good; there are a few small dings, but the depth and quality of finish has to be seen to be believed.
I have just fitted a new set of Martin Lights and the sound is great.
