This beautiful pure silk wedding gown has a timeless beauty. It's luxurious fabric is pure silk.

The dress is marked a size 12 but I would say it would suit a small 12 or a 10.

The boned silk bodice is edged with romantic silk roses which extend around the back of the bodice thereby framing the scoop neckline. It can be worn on or off the shoulder and looks fantastic as can be seen in the photographs. The dress has long pointed sleeves which are held with matching silk covered buttons.You really do feel a princess in this dress.

The skirt is formed from literally yards of sumptuous pure ivory silk. The top quality layers of net underskirts hold the skirt of the dress into a fantastic shape and the pure silk rustles as you walk making you want to swish and rustle all day! The skirt is slightly longer at the back than the front forming a slight train. The dress fastens with a concelaed zip and silk covered buttons. It is a fairy tale dream of a dress for your dream wedding day.

Matching full length veil also available.

The dress is in fantastic condition and is very clean for a vintage dress. Ready to wear again. As silk is a natural fabric it does sometimes contain naturally occurring marks etc there is only one I have found of any significance on this dress. This is on the bodice. I have attempted to take a photograph of it. It may just be a bit of dust which could be spot cleaned by a specialist dry cleaners. I just want buyers to be aware of any marks. A full clean at a specialist dry cleaners can be arranged at extra cost. Buyers should note that silk may crease in the box and the dress may need hanging out and /or pressing after unpacking.

This dress is beautifully made. Just a little of the info I have found on the designer of this dress Catherine Rayner on the net is as follows:

Designer of the Year at the 1998 British Bridal Awards,...Her dresses tend to be full skirted rather than slimline, with very fitted bodices cut to give a flattering shape. They are always beautifully finished, often with a bustle." If you can't afford her price tag, take a trip to the Museum of Costume in Bath, where a Catherine Rayner creation - voted Dress of the Year in 1995 - numbers among the exhibits.
