Talbot Express Autosleeper Rambler 4 Berth 2.5 litre diesel
This is a much loved van which has only had two owners from new, so full service history is available. We have had it for six years and travelled all over Europe and the UK in it. Sadly we must upgrade as we need more space for a growing family. MOT 05/10 and Tax 10/09.
The van has done 165.000 miles, although the engine has only done 75,000 miles. It will cruise easily all day at 80 mph on French motorways and last year we crossed over the Alps in it, no problem. It is also very economical to run. Over the last six years there has been a new gear box, drive shafts, suspension, clutch and radiator. There are also some spares; a gearbox, starter motor and a window.
Although 20 years old the body work is in great condition as is the inside. The beds give multiple permutations; two doubles, a double and two singles, a double and a king size etc.
The living equipment consists of a three-way fridge; a two-burner hob, grill and oven; a sink with an in-line water filter; a hot water boiler; shower-room with cassette toilet; a wardrobe; a dressing area; strong-box for valuables; a cocktail cabinet; lots of storage space; a small and large table, with an outdoor socket; side and rear doors for ease of access; electric hook-up and zig unit, and 12 volt circuits with leasure battery; central heating; original crockery; a folding step; a carbon monoxide alarm; a radio-cassette player; and a spare gas bottle.
There are two skylights for weather proof ventilation and all the windows are fly-screened. There have been no smokers or pets in the van so there are no lingering odours in the upholstery. All the manuals for the van and the appliances are present.
We are also including a set of levelling ramps and a drive-away awning which doubles the size of the van and has an optional double bedroom which is perfect for guests or sleep-overs.
This is ready to go for a great holiday this year. We were going to put it up for sale last month but we just had to have one last trip in it over half-term.
