Description
2.5 Litre Diesel V-reg 1999 red Caravelle. Low mileage 150k miles. New engine fitted - costing £2k a year ago. Now requires new clutch. Otherwise a very nice van. The engine was fitted after sucking in water on a beach in Cornwall - which caused the original engine to fail. Prior to that rock solid much loved cool car used as a mobile art studio mostly. Well used but presentable. Really a very nice MPV also used for camping and surfing trips to various beaches - all the seats are removed but are still in storage to be clipped back in. I have been quoted £600 for the work. Less if you do the work yourself. No MOT or tax at presnet since it has not been used for a year now. I am the second owner and have had the van for four years. I will consider an exchange for a very recent Apple Computer System.. but otherwise cash please.. Lots of pics available to those interested. This van worked fine after the new engine and the work required is just a standard update of the clutch. It still drives and is very driveable! The only other problem is that sometimes when idling a slight vibration - which is due apparently to a small restriction in the injectors - which can be reconditioned. This was pointed out to me during its last service. It feels like a normal diesel engine in effect.
