Benjamin Roberts 966 Ivory/Gold Sz 6/8

It is made from beautiful lightweight, gold (but i would say its quite a buttery gold) taffeta on the bodice combined with lace and tulle on the skirt with sevral petticoats to give it a fairy tale shape. It has stunning detail comprising of delicately hand stitched beads and crystals, lace and intricately ruched fabric. It has a diagonal drop waist which sweeps from the hip down into a bussel at the back, with a beautiful gathering of fabric on the right hip. It has quite a short zip with buttons to hide it. I bought the dress as a size 8 and had it altered by my seamstress to fit my 32B bust. It was also taken up slightly. I'm 5ft 2ins and wore 2ins heels, the dress is still a good length and kicked out when I walked. It also has a hand ribbon under the train so you can walk around easier in the evening. I would say this dress would fit a small size 8 although could be altered to a 6 as all Benjamin Roberts dresses have an inner corset for an extra snug fit. I haven't had the dress cleaned which is reflected in the asking price. However it is only a little dusty around the bottom where the train hits the floor. I don't wear heavy makeup or bronzer and so the bodice is very clean. There was slight damage to one of the tulle layers which got caught on a guests stiletto heal(!) but that has been rectified.

If anyone is interested in this dress pick-up would be preferred and you can try it before you buy which I think is very important!
