Description

Offered for sale is this 46? narrowboat, with moorings in Northwich marina, Cheshire (CW9 5JJ). The shell is by the first class steel fabricators Colliery Narrowboats of Wincham, near Northwich, with a recent interior fit-out by the previous owner.

I lived aboard the boat whilst working in Manchester and Liverpool (both are around half an hour's drive away from the marina, where secure parking is available with the mooring) but have since changed jobs and relocated to Glasgow, hence the need to make this reluctant sale.

Layout of boat is as follows:
· Foredeck seating area with full cratch cover by Cover-It
· Double doors to the forward bedroom with fixed double berth, under-bed storage and overhead cupboards
· Shower-room with designer wash hand basin and fine china Sealand pump-out toilet
· Central living area with new luxury leather captain's chairs and footstool
· Breakfast bar with stools to generous, fully-fitted, walk-through galley
· Stairs to rear access doors & hatch to fully-enclosed cruiser deck, with "pramhood" style cover, also by Cover-It
Interior finishes: newly re-fitted throughout with light oak tongue & groove to the deckhead, diagonal ash T&G to cabin sides above gunwales, carpeted below. Carpet throughout, tile-effect vinyl in galley.

Windows: large aluminium drop top hoppers with wooden surrounds

Doors: double steel doors fore and aft, clad in hardwood to match interior

Gas supply: 2x 13kg LPG cylinders in forward locker

Engine: 3-cylinder Vetus M3.10 diesel engine with Hürth HBW50 mechanical gearbox

Batteries: 1x starter battery with 2x domestic batteries, battery management system and inverter

Electrics: Fully re-fitted in 2007. 12v & 240v sockets, domestic consumer unit for landline power hook-up

Heating: Alde LPG boiler, with 3 steel radiators

Insulation: Spray foam

Exterior finishes: Donegal green with cream panels & burgundy coach lines. Cream roof with brass mushroom vents

Bathroom: Walk-in shower, designer glass sink, vanity unit and fine china Sealand pump-out toilet.

Domestic equipment: Stoves Newhome LPG cooker with grill, oven & 4-ring gas hob, Shoreline 12v fridge with freezer compartment, electric mini-oven with grill, toaster, kettle, JVC CD-radio with integrated speakers, TV-video combi.

Inventory: Fully equipped & ready to cruise, with cutlery, crockery, pots & pans, bedding, mooring pins, lock keys etc. Adult's lifejacket also included.

Storage: ample storage with hanging rail in wardrobe, footlocker, over- and under-bed storage in bedroom and 5 generous cupboards in galley.

Licence: valid until May 2010

Boat Safety Certificate: until June 2011

The moorings for the boat are transferable, subject to approval from Northwich Marina, and cost £115/month, paid quarterly (I will include this quarter's fees with the boat sale, so next payment due early October). This includes water, which is supplied from a standpipe on the pontoons for filling the onboard tank. 240v electricity is supplied from your own individual pre-payment meter.

The marina is right in the centre of Northwich on the River Weaver, near the famous Anderton Boatlift which gives access to the Trent & Mersey canal. There are plenty of shops, pubs and other facilities within walking distance and a parking space is included with the moorings, within the marina compound which is accessible via a locking gate, for berth-holders' security. The British Waterways office is across the river, with a BW service point about 100m down-river, where pump-out facilities are available.

If you have any queries regarding the boat or require further information about anything listed above, please do not hesitate to contact me. Viewings are available during normal business hours Mon-Sat but please contact me beforehand to advise. The boat is advertised elsewhere and this listing will be closed early if an offer is accepted and the sale completed.

NB: A valuation certificate of £45,000 is available from July 2007 when a survey was carried out by Brian Hayes, President of the Association of Boat Safety Examiners. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. Keys and documentation will be transferred with ownership on receipt of cleared funds.
