I am selling a complete commercial version of Avid Xpress Pro v5.7. It is still brand new and in the original packaging and has only been removed to photograph the contents of the box and to check it is all there. The reason for sale is that, when I got this software I did not have a powerful enough computer to run the software and by the time I had got a new machine, the company that I worked for had given me the Avid Media Composer software to use.

It is very similar in use and look to the newer media composer software. It is also a full commercial licence that retailed around £3500 and was widely used by most of the post production industry until media composer was released.

The blurb on the back of the box reads – “As a desktop or portable editor, Avid Xpress Pro Software combines professional video, audio, film, effects, DVD authoring, and encoding tools – plus custom music creation tools- for both Mac and PC. Use the same industry standard Avid Tools that are used to create nearly all of today’s feature films and prime time television shows”

It can be run on either Mac or PC and despite its complicated outward appearance, is very easy to learn and pick up.

The Sorenson Software and the Sonic DVD Software come as part of the box but would individually retail around £30-£60

It comes from a smoke free and pet free home. It can either be picked up (weekends and nights only as I work full time) or it can be posted bearing in mind it is quite heavy.
