Here for sale is a kawasaki Eliminator trike it will be newly registered on 28th October and already has 12 months MOT it will also be taxed.
This trike was built for me after i bought the bike as a project. I decided on a trike instead of a chop. After a while waiting for it to be finished I bought a Custom Cruiser 800cc to be getting on with through the summer. Now the trike is complete I thought I would give it a go, So I took her out on her first run. I got loads of looks and people pointing at me. The only problem was that I could not get on with it, I didn't think the trike suited me. I decided it wasnt for me and I'll keep the bike instead.
Now for the trike
It was built with a Reliant axle, has new brakes and cylinders. It also has hand brake and hazard warning lights (now legal for mot) It has a one off paint job that really suits the trike. It has front and rear marker lights and very loud exhaust (people hear you before you they see you, lol)
When the trike was tested the MOT person said it was one of the nicest he had seen for a while and that some thought had gone into the way it was put together (trike went straight through the mot) with no adviseries
It also has an alarm with auto start set up. All in all a very nice trike!!
NOW FOR THE FAULTS
When I bought the bike it had been stood for some time, Dead battery, no fuel. So it now has a new battery. We put some fuel in and she started second time but did run a bit lumpy. After a few minutes she started to run smoother, great on with the build!
When the trike was complete I took her for a run for the first time, she ran ok but seemed to lack or hold back on power. I think that she was gassing up? But she got me to the MOT centre and back without a problem a trip of about 5 miles.
On the trip to MOT I found that there was a wobble on bumpy roads? I have since been told this is a common fault with trikes and a steering damper should sort it out. The carbs could do with a refurb and balance to make her run better.
I have bought a steering damper but not fitted it . Only because I have decided to sell the trike and keep the bike instead (dont see point on spending more money when i am not keeping it)
Because of these faults the trike is to be sold on a SOLD AS SEEN BASIS With no garantee.
Viewing is highly recomended and AA or RAC inspection is welcome for your own peace of mind.
Please view before making any offers so you know what you are buying first.
All in all a lovely trike (with a couple of problems) possably an easy fix for someone in the know.
