Description
For sale: This instrument is in pristine condition. I bought it in 2000 and have used it in the studio only. Product: Ovation CC024 Celebrity Features: Solid spruce top, Onboard tuner and EQ. Sound : Great projection. I would recommend this guitar for acoustic leads that need to cut through other acoustic instruments or for plugged in live sound (and a feedback buster in the soundhole). Action, Fit, & Finish: The action on Ovation guitars is almost without exception great. This guitar has a beautiful paintjob, a nice thin neck and a tapered body where it meets the neck (allows you to get to the higher frets more easily). This is definitely a guitar for a gigging musician. Reliability/Durability: Guitars with the lycrachord back or of a completely composite body are ideal for playing live, especially with a full band. It can withstand all kinds of abuse that an all-wood guitar would never be able to hand and being around drunks, bandmates and clumsy bouncers, it will take a spill eventually. Price: £290 ono. Collection only. Will consider cheque and release once this has cleared. ............................... Here are some reviews of this instrument: This is a great guitar. I went into a bunch of stores to play this guitar and I loved it so much I finally bought it. I got the ruby red (pic doesn?t do justice.) The guitar has a nice smooth fast neck which I like the most. I don't really care about the electronics but a nice addition. This is an overall great guitar with a price that can't be beat. heathater from Vegas, nv on Jul 16, 2008???????????????????????.. I went and played damn near every acoustic in their room and this guitar beat them all. Playability is amazing (like an electric), action is great, projection is surprising, and electronics are really sweet too. Bluegrass licks on this thing are a breeze and the sustain is astounding. Really sweet guitar, no questions. A simple perc is the tuner that works really well. This guitar is as sweet as my newborn baby girl, Grace. In fact I named this guitar after her. Sweet, sweet, sweet. Pat from Michigan on May 6, 2008 ???????????????????????.. I bought this guitar about a month ago, and I've never played anything that sounds like this. I love the tone, and the action feels perfect. The tuners on it keep it in tune without ever having to worry about it. I tuned it when I first got it and haven?t had to do it since. But I love knowing that when I do need to do it again, the on board tuner is always there. The electric acoustic sound it awesome on this guitar. It's fantastic. I am all around pleased with this guitar. Not only does it sound nice, but it's also beautiful to look at. I was lucky enough to get hold of a CC-24Q which looks nothing short of stunning in real life. DeevoSee from Halifax, NS on Mar 30, 2008 ???????????????????????..
I was in the market for an acoustic-electric, and I've played around with my pastors' Ovations and decided it was for me. This baby is amazing. The tone is unbelievable, and it has the best tuners I've ever seen. My guitar is subjected to both burning hot and freezing cold temperatures, and I'm always able to pick it up and play at the drop of a hat. But even when it needs tuning, the on-board tuner is more than up to the job. The action is a little stiff, making my Phosphor Bronze Light strings feel heavy, but I wouldn't trade her for the world. Labrousse from Oregon on Jan 6, 2008 ???????????????????????.. I got this Ovation Celebrity a couple of years ago because, me and my dad needed a good guitar and a couple of our friends played an Ovation, so we decided to buy this model. When we first got this guitar, it blew me away. Not only did the looks blow me away but also the booming tone. My dad almost sold it to get a really good Martin his friend had but, I convinced him not to. I couldn't buy a better guitar than this!!! Ovation Freak from McKinney, TX on Oct 21, 2007 ???????????????????????.. I found this little axe to be more like the Ovations of old when I first started playing them in 1975, my first was a Balladeer. This little CC-24 is sweet all around starting with the price. I'm one picky son-of-a-gun when it comes to the guitars I own and play, and I've shunned all the big name companies unless their product actually comes through with something besides their name and as a result have discovered some extremely well priced and super playing and sounding guitars a lot of folks would otherwise pass by... just like the Celebrity. I was giving the Ovations at one of the local string houses when the blonde CC-24 caught my eye and I gave her a test drive. As I already hinted, this little tweaker impressed this picky player and then some. Dollar for dollar I'd take this little sweetie over the "Legend" I had and got rid of. That one was pretty, but she didn't play like the Ovations I remembered, this Ovation Celebrity does. Nuff said, love the instrument.
