14hh coloured cob gelding - 5yrs. For sale through absolutely no fault of own but owner given up due to complete lack of time / other committments and therefore no rider.

Lovely friendly character, not a nasty bone in his body, always first to the gate, mixes well with geldings or mares, just wants to be everyones friend, loves people and nosy into whatever you are doing.

Lunges well and is very willing to learn / eager to please but not ridden much since spring so needs bringing back into work so ideal project for someone with more time / experience than me who could perhaps give him some schooling.

Loves to hack out and is super in company but would not say he is entirely suitable for a "nervous" novice ridden alone as can spook a little at times (altho nothing major and at nothing you wouldn't expect) but would put this down to his age / inexperience altho has been absolutely fine with more confident / experienced rider who can give him reassurance. He has also has been hacked out by complete novice teenager in company and again was fine.

Great to handle on the ground, lives on working farm, so used to other animals, kids / cats etc round his feet, farm traffic etc. Great to handle, comes to call, no stable vices, good for farrier - currently no shoes as has good solid feet but has had front shoes only when used for hacking.

This is a very sad sale after much soul searching but it seems a shame for him to be going to waste and he deserves much better.

Quick sale needed due to other comittments and price reflects the fact he has not been ridden for a while but loving home is more important than price for this much loved family pony and any new home will be vetted.
