It is in a very good, usable condition and these are very solid beds (our 4 teenage children all now have Malm beds and so do we!). Apart from a few tiny marks, there is one chip that is noticeable. No bigger than a 5p piece but I would rather be honest and say. If you are planning on putting this against a wall then you would never see this. Its on the base board on the left hand side.

Ikea have now stopped selling Malm single beds in the wood colours and are only selling them in Black or White - so if like us, you have already got the Malm bedroom furniture in Birch then this would complete the bedroom! Or if you are just looking for a decent, long lasting bed then this could be a real bargain for you !!
