Very closely modelled on a 60's Telecaster, this TE custom from the Hohner Professional range is a fine quality guitar. The body is reputed to be Alder with a maple neck (with skunk stripe). Dates from late 1980's I think - maybe 1990.
The finish is a vintage sunburst and the scratchplate is in keeping with a faded finish. The binding has mellowed to cream nicely .The guitar features twin string trees and a 6 saddle bridge, very solid hardware and a standard Tele pickup & switching set up.
The tonal range is classic vintage Tele, good power with a warm edge at the neck position yet punchy and bright at the bridge, very cutting and clean...nice!
The body is a very nice classic sunburst which graduates from a black to the yellow centre. The back has a few light scratches in the centre and a few chips to the edge, shown in the pics. The front is very clean with a couple of very small indentations but not removal of the finish..
A very nice and very smooth maple indeed, no dents and remarkable to play with a medium/slim profile. The neck is dead straight and allows a good action. The finish is gloss and great to play. The headstock is fine with no damage
It has a fabulous dark fretboard. There is no wear but some discolouration from age, which adds to the guitars attraction.
The frets are in very good condition, nice medium semi flat profile and with some small amount of wear. It certainly does not need any work and has years left before it will need dressing.
Hardware is all in excellent condition, everything working as it should and solid as a rock, very minor wear from use.
Electrics working very well, no crackles on the pots and no earth buzz, all working perfectly.
