This guitar is described as Yamaha's 'real' contender and challenge to the Gibson 335, and some may say even surpasses the 355 itself. Yamaha stated at the time that they wanted to make everything better, from fretwork, body build and finishes to the electrics in an attempt to make it one of the best finishes made in this range. It is noted as one of the rarest and best 335 models ever made and and a must for any collector or musician to own.
