I’ve got a 3 bed semi-detached Council Property in the pretty market town of Downham Market, Norfolk. This property will be transferred over to Freebridge Community Housing around September this year, making it housing association. I have been informed that I have RTB at the moment, but cannot be sure if any tenant to move in here after me BEFORE THE transfer will retain RTB themselves.
The town has all the usual amenities including good schools and a college, Tesco’s, Boots, Iceland, Somerfields, various restaurants, leisure centre, nice hotels and bars. It also has an award winning town square and has an open air market every Friday and Saturday.
Downham is about 20 mins south of King's Lynn and 10 mins from the Cambridgeshire border by car. 30 minutes from the popular seaside town of Hunstanton, and about 45 minutes from Norwich.
Literally 5 mins walk from mainline station and you can get to London in about an hour and a half, with connections just two stops away to Stanstead, Cambridge, Peterborough and the North of England.
