Fleeces now available from my colourful flock of Shetland sheep sheared in 2023.
Only the best fleeces are bagged up for sale.
They were all hand sheared again this year.
There are plenty of very colourful fleeces, black/brown with white, fawn/grey, grey, grey and white, Most are an attractive mottled, mixed colour.
With these colours dyeing is not required.
I also have a few white fleeces if anyone wants to take advantage of the fine Shetland wool and would like to dye the wool.
The fleeces are great for spinning and weaving, and many are sold to make rugs, either by the felting method or with a peg loom.
Shetland sheep produce some very good fine fleeces. The fleeces are raw, not washed, briefly skirted, individually named and bagged.
A flecket (black and white) fleece from this flock won Champion fleece at The Shetland Sheep National Show and Sale 2023 - 58 fleeces entered, all colours.
Collection only please. I am not posting, this way you can see before you buy, we now have a table so each fleece can be rolled out for you to see easily.
Buyer collects from the smallholding that is situated near Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
