This is a flexible shatter resistant long lasting material and under normal use will not cut through your cable or a leather shoe, therefore making it extremely safe in comparison to a standard metal blade..

Basically it is a rigid 4-armed blade in a cross shape (each blade at 90 degrees to the next) with a central hole approx 16mm diameter and two smaller dumb-bell or figure 8 shaped holes approx 50mm apart, 9mm high, 3mm across at the middle (narrowest point) and 4mm at the widest part of the dumb-bell or "8".
