Advert Description

what we have here is a varied selection of Classic Aircraft Information sheets that are mainly based on the Douglas Commercial DC-3 but there is some reference to the Dakota as both aircraft where almost identical from the outside, the DC-3 was built as a passenger airliner, the Dakota was the work horse \ cargo plane and many times used for paratroop and supplies deployment.

ps during the war some DC-3's had their seats removed and became DC-3\C-47 and visa - versa !!

post war many DC-3's \ Dakota's where pressed into service to help supply west Germany this was known as the Berlin Airlift.. starting in 1948 and lasting over 1year, during this time 2.3 tons of cargo where delivered into Berlin....
