Stunning 1931 edition of the PATHESCOPE Safety Film Catalogue, packed full of black and white photos of the artistes of the day.


Covers all their different categories of film making - Drama, Natural History, Comedy, Farce, etc (see photos) and includes artistes and personalities such as Harold Lloyd, Stan Laurel, Charlie Chaplin, Paul Parrott, Snub Pollard (Farce), Jack Hobns (Sport, Cricket), Anna May Wong, Ivan Mosjoukine, Raquel Meller, Dorothy Gish, Sandra Milowanoff, Bessie Love, William Hart, Gloris Swanson (Drama), Douglas Fairbanks, Nicholas Rimsky, Bobby Vernon & Gloria Swanson (Comedy), and many others.


Near mint condition. 94 semi glossy pages, no damage, turn-downws corners, marks or inscriptions to pages, cover shows very minor signs of handling but book has unbroken spine and appears to have been minimally handled.


Book is bound with staples through all pages at the left hand edge, just visible through the blue binding material that covers the staples and page edges. Blue binding wrinkled in places, please see photos.


In all, an extremely rare example of a near-mint copy of the 1931 edition of this regular volume. Issued by Pathéscope Ltd., 5, Lisle Street, London W.C.2 .
