Overall excellent displayed condition – some light scratching to centre which is unnoticeable and doesn’t detract from this wonderful plate.

Printed on the back ‘Lincoln’s New Salem Commemorative Plate. Abraham Lincoln came to Illinois in 1830. In the village of New Salem he spent six formative years (1831-1837) of his life’.

On the rim this plate features illustrations of Abraham Lincoln, The Old Grist Mill, the Interior Berry - Lincoln Store, The Wagon Wheel Inn and the Rutledge Tavern, these surrounding the central view of the First Berry Lincoln Store and Post Office.
