This maitre d desk is an unusual piece of
vintage restaurant and bar furniture.
The desk has a slightly shabby chic, antique appearance.
Its angled top makes this desk ideal for writing on – as it was intended for marking off reservations. The top section also lifts up, with convenient storage place for menus, pens or notepads underneath.
The base section of the desk is made up of a cupboard with internal shelves with
a single drawer to the top.
A pracical piece of furniture in a restauranta or pub/bar as a
greeting desk –
adding vintage charm.
The desk is in general good condition, but as it is a vintage item it will have signs of wear due to its age.
Not quite sure of its vintage but guess at pre 1950 maybe post 1900. Read more
