I am selling my VINTAGE Very RARE Mabie Todd "Safety Pen" in Superb Condition c1916 that I have had for over 30 years and it is time for this to go to a new home.
This beautiful fountain pen is in a used condition for some thing of this age, and overall excellent and in exactly the same condition that I bought it in 1980.
These "Mabie Todd Safety Pens" are getting rarer and have become very sought after, especially as only a limited number were made in this pattern and even fewer have survived. The "Hammered and Snail" pattern finish on the pen is stunning and would have been done by hand by a master craftsman.
The fountain pen measures: L x 3.5 inches closed and has the engraving: F.F. Moodie on the barrel (see photos).
