If you can not message me through this site, you can message me on my Facebook page called 'Jodie's Axolotls, UK'
Sub-adult axolotls ready to go to their new home. Pick up from Wallasey, wirral.
They are eating well on frozen bloodworms, earth worms, maggots and also pellets.
I have wild-types left for sale for £10 each or two axolotls for £17, they range from 8 to 10iches, exact colour can not be 100% guaranteed as they vary a lot in different shades.
These are cold water only and can grow up to 10-12 inches, they can NOT be put in with fish such as goldfish/plecs etc as the fish will nip at the axolotls gills.
You can however add feeder fish (guppies, danios etc), live shrimp so long you have quarantined the fish/shrimp prior incase of parasites/disease, the axolotls are likely to snack on them.
You can NOT use gravel as the axolotl will eat the gravel which is life threatening, so either sand (I use children's play sand), or big river rocks which are bigger than the Axolotls head, or a bare bottom tank.
An axolotls main diet is earth worms, i feed a varied diet which consists of earthworms, frozen bloodworms, maggots, prawns, mussels and fish pellets designed for carnivore fish.
I am happy to answer any questions so please do not hesitate to ask, but please do your research on them.
