Unuusal and very attractive looking vintage tea set for sale.
It is made by Gibsons of Staffordshire, England and dates to the 1950's
Its in the style of Wedgwood Jasperware.
The set consists of a Teapot, large milk jug, small cream jug and a lidded sugar bowl.
The bodies of the pieces are gold with blue and white decoration.
Please be aware that the colour of the blue is abit darker in life then it appears to be in the photos.
The teapot measures 12cm high and 23cm from the front of the spout to the back of the handle.
The milk jug measures 14cm high and 14cm from the front of the spout to the back of the handle.
The small cream jug measures 6.5cm high and 10cm from the front of the spout to the back of the handle.
The lidded sugar bowl measures 8cm high and 15cm from handle to handle.
All pieces have suffered some gilding loss. This takes the form of scratches and ware on the bodies of the pieces and on the lids.
The teapot also has a chip on the inside of the lid.
