We have had Tommy for 5 months. We bought him for my 10 year old daughter who is a very nervous, quite inexperienced rider.
It has become apparent during the time we’ve owned him that he’s not the right pony for my daughter and he needs a confident knowledgeable little jockey to bring out the best in him.
During the time he has spent with us he has done Pony Club rallies at Somerford, completed dressage tests, mounted games, cross country at Smallwood including going through the water and over jumps, lots of clinics, hacking (is great in traffic) and general work in the arenas. He is also attending Pony Club camp with my daughter. My younger 8 year old daughter rides him and jumps him. He’s never refused any jump put in front of him. She’s jumped 60cm on Tommy including water trays.
He’s relatively inexperienced as he hadn’t been ridden very much before we bought him although he has been professionally schooled previously. He therefore needs a confident little rider to work with him and a knowledgeable home where his education can be continued. Previously been broken to drive and has 3 lovely paces - would be nice enough to show.
He’s got brilliant stable manners, fantastic with even the smallest of children, good for farrier, dentist and my 8 year old daughter can load him and tack him up. He’s stabled at night and out in the daytime. Happy with mares or geldings. Barefoot and great to load, never kicks or bites. If my 8 year old daughter didn’t already have an amazing pony I’d give Tommy to her without hesitation. He’s all ready for someone to go out and have fun on.
He’s a very good boy and handsome too. Lots of videos and photos. Comes with all tack inc a fitted Kent & Masters saddle. Up to date with physio, worming, dentist and injections. Very sad sale of a much loved boy. 10* home wanted. Serious enquiries only.
