narrowboat project 22/23 ft, traditional style with cratch

This advert is located in and around Warrington, Cheshire

Advert Description

This is a fantastic project with lots of history believed to be in the region of 100, years old it is one of two vessels ( the sister ship is on the same yard) which wee built for the Manchester Ship Canal co, built in Scotland and believed to be made of cast steel ?? Someone with more knowledge than me perhaps a welder or fabricator would know the answer, it has at present a propellor and shaft fitted but no engine also has its rudder in place, as a blank canvas almost any small diesel engine could be fitted,
I do have a Lister Sr1, 6-5, hp, air cooled which is available by separate negotiation (see my other adverts later this week) the engine is in great condition manual start, which starts very easily manual gearbox built in fuel tank= ideal for this boat
Viewing is available during Hesfords opening hours or outside of these hours by arrangement/appointment so please ask, I will upload some pictures later this week and will leave it on here for about a week and then next week will be a free for all when I place it onto e bay, sensible offers above 400, would be considered
