Advert Description

I bought this off the grandson of the person named on the receipt and he said that his father continued to play in the group. This was a professional quartet of Mandocellos which apparently sounded like an ensemble of harps. So 2 generations used the instrument. The free string length is 25" (63.5cm). Tuning CGDA. Several repaired expansion cracks between bridge and tailpin. One long repaired crack on bass side. Otherwise body in quite good condition. Action at 12th fret approx. 4mm. Original machine heads working fine. Receipt April'10 1908 Vega Co. Boston.Old style fibre guitar case to keep dust off.
