ANTIQUE solid 18ct yellow gold ring with three sapphire and two diamond stones set centrally. (Chester Hallmark 1918?).
It is a very elegant design typical of the late Edwardian period.
A beautiful dainty piece.
The ring weighs:
1.7g. and measures: 19mm in diameter.
It is a UK British Size: S.
This can be resized is required. Please view a ring size chart for alternative country conversions. The band thickness is 1mm from the base graduating around in diameter to 2mm, 3mm and finishing at 4mm at the top of the shoulder and mount.
The sapphires measure in diameter:
Centre stone: 2mm, two opposite ends: 1mm, diamonds each measure 1mm.
It is beautifully cut.
The ring has detailed scroll shaped shoulders engraved with a gentle curved profile. The mount (top section) with stones measures: 15mm in length by 6mm wide.
The central of the underside mount is hollowed out in a curved leaf shape and simply shaped with 5 circles allowing light to reflect through the stones beautifully enhancing the colour of the sapphires. It is in excellent condition with very little sign of wear and is likely to have been worn on special occasions only.
There is no misshaping to the ring band of any kind. It is unaltered in original condition with 4 stamp hall-markings. It will be presented in a gift box as the original box was damaged.
