A serious number of young people in their 20s/30s are living with parents due to soaring house prices, rents, new figures have revealed in the UK.
Over the past 20 years there has been a 46% increase in the number of young people aged 20/34 living with their parents. In the same period, house prices have tripled in some area's of the UK. In total, 1.1 million young men & women are now living at home, with men being far more likely to be staying with their parents into their 30s.
The ONS said 32% of all males aged 20/34 are now living with their parents, compared with 26% in 99.
Some 21% of women in the same age bracket are living at home too, an increase of about 14%.
