The photos above are from the original programme, which has been sold, although the scans are scanned from the programme in colour.
The scan is an accurate electronic copy of the complete programme cover to cover, including all adverts etc.
The set consisted of a fin de siecle Titanic hotel style interior with interesting pillars, all in white with interesting props such as white palm leave plants, an old fashioned HMV Gramaphone and a grand piano.
The costumes appeared to be 1920's Ascot formal style, with formal morning wear for the men and white dresses for the women rather than traditional Japanese costume.
The orchestral playing by the English National Opera orchestra was excellent, conducted by Chris Hopkiins, along with the singing with Richard Suart as Ko Ko, the Lord High Executioner, John Tomlinson as the Mikado, Elgin Lly Thomas as Nanki-Poo, Andrew Shore as Pooh-Bah, the Lord High everything else, and Soraya Mafi as Yum-Yum.
