Advert Description
An nicely painted village scene of Welford-on-Avon, near Stratford-on-Avon in Warwickshire. Painted by Nigel Hallard and signed and dated 1970 on the reverse. Also signed in the bottom right hand corner. Hallard ( 1936 - May 2020 ) was a Black Country man who moved to Mousehole in Cornwall in 1969 to become a landscape painter, and he made a living selling Cornish landscapes to tourists. He did also make frequent visits back to his roots in the Midlands, holding regular exhibitions at towns such as Kidderminster and West Bromwich. This is then one of his very early landscape works.
