2 vintage Paragon Star china side plates: Exotic birds & flowers Pattern Number 6072. Dates c1915-19. Fleur-de-lis rim pattern. Rare.
Very good antique used condition BUT gilding on the rim has all but gone. Both plates have some age/wear-related surface scratching and wear/rubbing. 1 plate has a surface imperfection which has been covered by the branch on the transfer so dates from manufacture. Both plates have a couple of glazing imperfections underneath & on rim dating from manufacture.
Otherwise very good condition for their age with no obvious damage or crazing.
Still "ring" clearly when tapped.
Pattern Number 6072. Transfer printed design of exotic birds & flowers with decorative fleur-de-lis pattern rim.
Back of both plates marked with a star & Paragon China England.
Possibly a rare pattern or a rare surviving example of its time.
Each plate measures approx 19.5cm wide, 1.5cm deep max.
Date c1915-19.
Provenance: belonged to a relative.
