Oxfam Shop Darlington Hardback. Blue Tweed Cloth Titled in Blue with Hardy Boys silhouette on front cover. Title, author and publisher Harold Hill printed on book spine. Minor bumping at spine ends otherwise very good condition. 1st UK edition. Bright coloured dust jacket illustrated by Frank Varty of blonde & black haired Hardys wearing red & purple jackets holding torch pointed at angry wolves. Unclipped jacket has some chipping at spine hinges and wear at edges but in generally good condition. Orange & white pictorial GRETTA endpapers. Contents clean and binding tight. Previous owner inscription dated 1952 on fep. Published by Harold Hill & Son Ltd,1951. UK first edition in sought after dj. The Hardy Boys, Frank and Joe Hardy, are fictional characters who appear in several mystery series for children and teens. The characters were created by American writer Edward Stratemeyer, the founder of book-packaging firm Stratemeyer Syndicate; the books themselves are written by ghostwriters under the collective pseudonym Franklin W.
