This book of Laugier, French theorist of architecture of the 18th century, is the treaty of reference of neoclassical architecture in Europe. The author describes how Greco-Roman elements (columns, pediments,...) are used, using harmonious proportions, to build buildings whose architecture is rational. The book is illustrated with 8 large folding plates describing forms of foundations of the neo-classical architecture.This new edition, which will make the author known to the public, contains end pieces and banners, but doesn't have a frontispiece.Binding in full brown leather from the time - spine with 5 raised bands with compartments with flowers - book in nice condition - foxing on the title page and leaves of warning otherwise very fresh inside - strong book - restorations of the joints and the crowns - old small worm hole p 120-p150, not harmful to the text.The pictures are part of the description. 22712189
