Hardback with grey cloth boards and blue title panel inset and gilt titles to spine in very good condition with minor bumping to corners. Dust wrapper is in good condition with some chips and tears to top and bottom edges but no bigger than 1.5cm. Book plate to front end paper and previous owners dedication to opposite page. A letter from Edith Olivier is pinned opposite to the half title page (with some rusting of the pin) sent to a gentleman who appears to have written to her giving his appreciation of the book.She says "You can guess how I enjoyed writing this book; and living again with those enchanting women, "All gone, Alas, Alas!" But that an advantage over the rising generation who never knew any of them." Signed and dated May 29th 1945. Signed by Author(s).
