BSA Bantam D14/ 4 Supreme
You are looking at this total nut and bolt restoration so it is is worth taking the time to read this description.
Re sprayed Bantam D14/4 Supreme from 1968. This bike has a traceable history and paperwork to support its this, dating certificate and record of its first registration for example. Sadly it is only on an age related plate but has matching frame and engine numbers.
This bike spent the vast majority of its years hidden in a wood shed and only came to light about four years ago with 3000 miles on the clock. When I got it the finder had dismantled it to rebuild it but then lost interest so it arrived as a literal box of bits and frame.
It’s taken me 18 months to finish the bike but you will see from the photos it’s very presentable. Its not perfect but is a very good example of this iconic and famous bike.
The bike has had too many new parts fitted to list them all but a short list reads,
New Piston and rings, internal bearings and seals.
New Amal Carburettor.
New clutch springs.
New points and condenser.
All new paint work.
New wheels and tyres.
New wheel and headstock bearings.
No oil leaks!
PLEASE NOTE. The bike is unique in that it has its original full-length fiberglass fairing and screen that it had when it was new along with all the refurbished fittings. I also have a rear rack to renovate and fit. The fairing and the rack are not fitted yet as you can see.
MOT done and running well, I did about 6 miles on it the other day and have become a familiar sight on the estate when I have been testing it or just enjoying it. That said it has not done 50 miles yet since the rebuild. It needs a bit more tuning but to my knowledge that’s all.
Please come and have a look, you wont be disappointed! Well worth looking at as photos can be deceptive.
I know the value of the bike so no please no time wasters!
