Well bred litter of black and white ISDS Border Collie sheepdog puppies from excellent work and trial lines.
Sire, Don, is bred by Pat Byrn's Lad and out of his Peg, he is a stylish, strong, capable hill dog, with the best of Irish breeding working sheep and cattle on a 1200+ft of hill farm in West Wales. Dam, Cass (pictured) is a young bitch in training for the nurseries, she is a quiet, stylish, strong bitch and also she is a 3rd generation homebred, her mother is here to see working if required. Pedigree wise the dam is a daughter of Kinloch Levi (Welsh Res Champ 2016, 7th placed at the 2016 International & Captain for the Welsh World Trial team), he is a son of Pennant Williams' Sweep. On Cass' dams side, there is Calvin Jones' Spot along with Milo O'Brians breeding. (pedigree available of both dogs)
The pups are currently just over 2 weeks old, they have had their first dose of wormer, they are starting to eat mushed solid food and when finally able to leave will be fully weaned, microchipped, vet checked for heart, lungs and general well being, have had the first of the main vaccinations, they are welcome to stay here until they are fully vaccinated. They will have been well socialised with children, adults, house hold noise to ensure that they will be confident, outgoing pups. They will have superb temperaments - both the sire, dam and dam's mother are available for anyone to meet, they all can be seen working.
There are dogs and bitches to choose from. Dam is health tested Clear for CEA & TNS. All pups will be International Sheepdog Society registered , enabling them to be fully registered with the British Kennel club.
A £100 deposit will be required to secure the pup, with balance due on collection.
Pups are available at a concessional price for farming homes that can provide a holding number.
I have bred these pups to retain a couple for training as sheepdogs with the potential to trial, they therefore have been bred for healthiness, hardiness, intelligence, the ability to think for themselves and for stamina. The dog's owner is having a pup back to work her hill farm, I write this as I do not want their appearance to fool you, they will need stimulation, mental and physical activity and skilled handling to get the best out of them, consequently I am primarily looking for farm homes for working & trialling, or experienced Border Collie homes. Many thanks for taking the time to read.
